Just Another Manic Monday - I Hate Math...

... and I want to rip my uterus out. But I won't get into that because that is gross. I will however share some math related things to get more excited about my math final on Wednesday (psh, like that's going to help). I am terrified I will do poorly on said test but I found out tonight some pretty good news. It's hard to explain so I will employ bullets now.
  • I have done well on everyone but 1 of my math tests on which I got a 44%.
  • I did complete some extra credit that added an extra 14 points to my grade.
  • I got my last math "test" back today and I got an 83% which is fabulous after that 44%.
  • Then I found out if I do well on the final I get to replace the 44% with the grade I get on the final!
  • Also, I only need to get a 28 out of 40 problems correct to do this.
While all of this is very exciting I am still super nervous that the final will be a repeat of the DEMON 44% test. (See Chelsea, I do know how to watch out for demons.) So I am going to study my ass off and there may not be a TBR Tuesday post because of it. (I will try my best people but though I hate to say it school comes before blog.) So here are some math related things that I actually LIKE!

Etsy Item of the Week:

This number adorned composition book cover comes to us from Daily Threads. While the shop owner, Lolita, is on vacation at the moment you can bet she will have lots of orders awaiting her when she returns. I probably wouldn't waste this beauty on my math notebook (even though it's reusable) but my journal where I write all my novels (psh novels) could use a makeover. I have never typed up a story before writing it down in a notebook so this plush cover would be perfect for me to cuddle up with and jot down all that is floating in my head. I think Daisey (my current main character) would find it cozy. I also really like this one and this pretty young thing (shameless Michael Jackson reference). Let's hope one of these lovelies will be holding my pens & pencils soon.

That's a Bookshelf?

Yeah, and it's sort of math-ish right?

Well, while it isn't quite as math related at the bookshelf I mention in this post, this bookshelf is pretty geometric. (Can you tell I am more of a Geometry fan?) I think it suits the left brain crowd better than the right brainers (Yeah, all of you odd people who like algebra) but I could see it working in lots of different houses. I like how the side boxes could be used to store big sketchbooks or tall Children's books.

Create-A-Character:

Here's the details on this feature so as not to cause any confusion:

Create-A-Character (formerly know as Name Your Future Child ______.) is just a place for me to share names I like. I by no means consider myself an author, but I do like to write and I often have character names floating around in my head. Each week I will share the name an a little bit about each character. These characters may or may not be used in future stories of mine and also could be inspired by other book characters. I would like to hear your opinions on the character and if you like or dislike their name, so please feel free to comment.

Alpha Sorrenson is about to graduate from high school. Finally leaving high school hell is every teenager's dream. Sure, the idea of leaving her best friend behind, moving into a dorm on her own, and becoming an adult is scary but in an exciting sort of way. Her years at Romdale High will be so lame in comparison. That is exactly what Alpha thought until 2 weeks ago. But when Alpha finds out she didn't get into her dream school she realizes the real world is tough. Now she would rather just stay in high school forever. Graduation day comes much to her dismay, and now Alpha just has one last summer of childhood. Will this be the end of Alpha Sorrenson? Or is this just the beginning? The alpha or the omega?

Well I am off to go finish my practice test. I will see you guys around soon, hopefully when I am free of the grips of death er math.

While writing this post Korianne was listening to Treva Blomquist.

Korianne Fun Fact: Her first word: Mama, Second: Book!

  4. Samantha: Well thanks, I don't know about author but I have my fun! And the storing of the stories is just here on the blog. I come up with them on the day that I write the blog.
