Ok... This Has Got To Be Quick!

*all said in one of those period less rushed out tones* I don't have much time to explain why I haven't been around the blog but here it goes. Basically my stress levels are like John Green's puff levels at their worst. As if summer school wasn't already hitting me hard I have taken on the challenge of making Bat Mitzvah invitations for Rachel, daughter of my mother's best friend Linda. I am only happy to do so, but there are 200 invites and they are all due tomorrow (I have completed 60, these are intricate people.) Also, there have been complications with Linda's brother who had a prior heart surgery. He is having another surgery later this week. Needless to say not only have I been worried about him, but Linda & Bonita, his sisters and also the people I have been working on the invites with, have been super stressed. Those are reasoning why, and I know I do this a lot guys. I am sorry I am so inconsistent with when I blog and when I don't but that's sort of how my life goes. Thanks for bearing with me.

Now, there is a purpose to this post other than my reasons for not blogging. I have been dared!

Here is the dare from Jordyn that I have chosen to accept:

Because everyone else is doing it (and that is a perfectly acceptable reason?) and I felt so left out, I’m ISSUING A DARE.

dare!

Korianne, I dare you to accept this challenge. I dare you to complete at least five of the eight items on the list below (though I triple-dog-dare you to complete them all).

  1. Watch the first season of Pushing Daisies, because it is brilliant and you should and there are only nine episodes anyway. This is on Hulu.com.
  2. Watch the first six episodes of Friday Night Lights, because it is also brilliant and I love it. This one isn’t online but if you can’t find the DVDs I can send you my first season for borrow.
  3. Read all thirteen books in the Series of Unfortunate Events, by Lemony Snicket, if you haven’t already. Or even if you have already. Because they are win.
  4. Read LA Candy and Miles to Go (Miley Cyrus’ “autobiography”) and write reviews for both of them.
  5. Make a vlog and act like a stereotypical Valley Girl the whole time. This video must be over three minutes long and you must post it to your blog.
  6. Write a love letter to your favorite YouTube boy (NOT Tyler Oakley. Must be a straight boy.) and post it on your blog. *laughs wickedly*
  7. Read The Princess Bride, because really you should. Also, review it.
  8. Record a video of you singing a Taylor Swift song – any of them – and upload it to YouTube and post it on your blog.

Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, must be completed by November 4th, 2009.

And the rules are:

If you accept, you must blog about your acceptance and sign in with the correct Mr. Linky here.

You also must blog about your thoughts/progress as each task is crossed off the list.

Now, if you complete the dare, I will read the Gossip Girl series (but NOT its spin-offs), which I think has twelve books. If you complete all the items I’ll also read the prequel, It Had to Be You, which is actually a really great title for a book.

However, if you fail you must refrain from tweeting for a whole, 7-day week. Harsh, I know.

As everyone knows Jordyn and I are twins, and I have to listen to whatever my twin tells me to do so I am going to attempt to complete everyone of these tasks listed. I can't guarantee that I will complete them all but I promise I will complete at least 5 as I was asked to do. I will keep you updated on my progress here on the blog. Also, does anyone think that if I complete all 8 that Jordyn should read all the Gossip Girl spin-offs too? I mean the woman has me reading the entire Lemony Snicket series and I have not read even one! The likelihood that I will complete all 8 anyway is slim, but I'm jus sayin'! (Yes, I watch too much Meekakitty)

Alright, now I am off again to invitation making hell.

  1. I would totally help you with the invites but I live too far away from you. Good luck, I hope that it all turns out okay!

OOhh, sounds like a fun dare. Although, I know that I wouldn't be able to complete 5 of those things by November. I love Pushing Daisies! I think that you'll have to watch it no matter what.

  9. Kristen & Emma: Thanks so much for nominating me but I don't accept awards. They just started to clog up my sidebars too much. Thanks again for recognizing me.
